TrackMan Driving Range: UniFi Wifi Guide

 

Note: Article only applies for Driving Range locations. All Drive Shack locations internet is provided by the facility.

Connecting

In order to connect to the TrackMan Range WiFi system on site, the default access is through a web browser for the on-site Ubiquity - UniFi system.  This can be connected to via web browser at:

Wireless Networks

On the Wireless Networks tab there should be the below networks setup

  • TrackManAdmin
    • Security- WPA Personal
    • Use VLAN with VLAN ID - 242
    • WPA Mode- WPA2 Only, Encryption - AES/CCMP Only
    • User Group - Default
    • UAPSD- Uncheck Enable Unscheduled Automatic Power Save Delivery
    • DTIM Mode- Use default values
  • TrackManRange
    • Security- WPA Personal
    • Use VLAN with VLAN ID - 244
    • WPA Mode- WPA2 Only, Encryption - AES/CCMP Only
    • User Group - Default
    • UAPSD- Uncheck Enable Unscheduled Automatic Power Save Delivery
    • DTIM Mode- Use default values
    • WiFi Password - TrackMan

System Insights 

Events

The Events window will show all connections for each AP and also when a device is passed to a different AP in the mesh network. Connection information can be filtered by time and type of event.

Past Connection / Surrounding Devices

To view past connections and information on Neighboring Access Points click the Insights button on the upper left part of the screen (Light Bulb). Filter information using the left drop down menu.

Under Past Connections users IP, data usage, connection time, and last connected AP can be seen.

Under Neighboring Access Points all near APs can be seen with data such as SSID, Channel, Location, and Signal strength.

Connected Devices

In order to see all devices connected to each AP and the their signal strength click Clients on the top left then click Wireless on the top of the screen:

Access Point Settings

To edit an AP's setting click the devices name under AP/Port on the Clients tab or click Devices on the left menu bar. 

When an AP is selected a Properties menu is opened on the right side of the screen. When multiple devices are selected the Properties menu will display all devices with each device name displayed at the top of each section.

Details

Under Details in the Properties menu all AP information can be found. Also under Details an RF scan cab be ran for both 2.4 and 5 GHz channels.

    • Radio 5G (11N/A/AC)

      • Transmit Power- Auto
      • Antenna Gain- 6 dBm

WLANS

2.4 / 5 GHz channels can be enabled or disabled for each Access Point for both TrackManAdmin and TrackManRange groups. By clicking the pencil icon on the right the settings for each group can all be viewed. These settings should match what is set in the system settings.
